Otis and I go back to 1979. We started cutting tracks shortly after we met. The first tunes we did were "Precious, Precious." and "Tryin' To Live My Life Without You," (which has become his signature song).
(For those of you who don't know it, Otis was previously a member of The Gospel Songbirds, which I had the pleasure of recording also.)
We finally hit one with "The Only Way Is Up" which was picked up by Echo Records.
It also made it to the album by the same name which was picked up by JVC and released in January, 1981 and went off the map in Japan.
